Studies show that athletics can have a significant impact on the lives of youth and improve academic performance, behavioral patterns, and overall confidence. These factors create lasting impressions that drastically increase the likelihood of success later in life.
The USA City Games’ mission is to connect diverse youth and like-minded foundations through sports, bridging together health and active lifestyles. The goal is to foster young aspiring athletes and students, while providing a health and athletic pathway for them to strive for excellence, embrace commonalities, respond to leadership, accept diversity, and overcome adversity through sports competition. USACG gives back to communities and associations that improve health, well-being, and other positive impacts on youth and families.
Through our alliances with Los Angeles Unified School District, L.A. City Department of Recreation and Parks, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Metropolitan Los Angeles, we will serve youth ages 12 to 18 and their families in and around L.A. County, who collectively represent more than 8.9 million consumers.
Honoring the L.A. Watts Summer Games founded in 1968, Los Angeles proudly relaunches The Games as the USA City Games™ (USACG), a project of the Giving Back Fund. USACG will debut at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with a 1-day Pre-50th Anniversary Celebration Kickoff event. There will be sports competitions, entertainment and related activities where up to 1,000 youth athletes are expected to participate.
