About The Games
On June 17, 2017 USACG will feature a 1-day Pre-50th Anniversary Celebration Kickoff event at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum with sports competitions and related activities where as many as 1,000 youth athletes are expected to participate.
In addition, an Olympian Inner-City Sports Activity companion in-school program will commence. This program provides an initiative of helping youth throughout the year and beyond.
In 2018 USACG will hold a 2-day 50th Anniversary Event including preliminary qualifying games, a three-month marketing campaign, and a year-long school program. USACG will expand to 10 major U.S. cities between 2019 and 2022.
Through our alliances with Los Angeles Unified School District, L.A. City Department of Recreation and Parks, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Metropolitan Los Angeles, we will serve youth ages 12 to 18 and their families in and around L.A. County, who collectively represent more than 8.9 million consumers.
USA City Games™ builds upon the legacy of the L.A. Watts Summer Games and its rich 49-year history with over 300,000 alumni including now notable athletes like John Elway (NFL), Lisa Leslie (WNBA, Olympian), and Byron Scott (NBA). The event has expanded participation to include not only high school but also middle school youth for the first time ever.
